What is your business philosophy?
Cabinet Genies delivers the quality service, materials and processes that our clients expect. As a company with a proven record of solid kitchen and bathroom remodeling execution, we’re experts in providing quality designs and sourcing cabinet manufacturers that do not compromise our standards.
While Cabinet Genies is in some respects a “boutique style” kitchen and bathroom remodeling company, it is also a fully-integrated, technologically advanced and proven that is able to offer the benefits of a large management firm. Our “boutique-style” allows personal attention to each project we manage, with detailed, involved, and intimate interaction by executive leadership. In addition, our company has won local and national awards for delivering outstanding customer service.
What is one business lesson you have learned?
We have learned to not take part in the “race to the bottom.” By that I mean don’t be the cheapest guy in town. We keep our prices fair, and our margins sustainable, and in turn we keep the doors open. We bid jobs properly and don’t cut corners. After the housing crisis, the economy was suffering and the industry was seeing an emergence of competitors just looking to make a paycheck and it was difficult not to lower our margins to compete with these companies. We’ve been in business more than 35 years, and the biggest lesson learned is to maintain a margin that keeps you profitable, no matter the resistance.

The unique colors and finishes provided by Custom Cupboards are some of the best in the industry. Custom Cupboards has provided us with exceptional customer service, even helping us create custom colors from our own devise. Our customers rave about the brushed glazes and distressed finishes that Custom Cupboards provides and are exceptional at executing. They also provide a consistency and quality that is often unmatched in the industry. We feel comfortable when ordering from Customer Cupboards and it is our “go to” line for certain projects. Also, Daniel and Angel provide great customer service. They answer all my questions and make sure that my orders are accurate.
